On-campus university housing development is a multi-billion-dollar annual business. There is tremendous pressure to provide communities that attract students, comfort parents, elevate universities, yet remain affordable. This panel will explore how innovation and cooperation can enable universities and developers to compress the time required to design and deliver university housing communities which address these challenges.
Our panelists - including universities, developers, contractors, financiers, and property managers - will discuss creative practices to design, develop, build, finance and manage university housing. The discussion will focus on innovation in design and construction to accelerate delivery of critical housing as well as cooperation between the private sector, university, and local governmental authorities throughout the design and development processes.
Panelists will use a current project, including slides and video, to illustrate innovation and cooperation practices which attendees can adopt for their campuses. This discussion is designed for higher education administrators, housing developers, institutional investors, and municipal leaders seeking to increase the level of innovation and cooperation in university housing developments.
