P3s have been used to deliver student housing for a variety of different reasons and have spanned everything from first year housing through graduate housing. However, these P3s don’t work the same way for every student population: the drivers, risks, and outcomes can vary significantly.
This session takes a focused look at how and why institutions deploy P3s across the student spectrum. Using real-world examples from across the country, we’ll examine when a P3 is the right solution for a particular student population (and when it isn’t), how deal structures shift based on target residents, and what universities have learned from projects already delivered.
The audience will hear directly from university leaders, developers, and other experts who have designed, financed, and operated P3 housing for first-year, upper-division, and graduate students and walk away with practical insight to apply to your own campus strategy.
